🌿 Can the simple act of preparing tea become a gateway to spiritual excellence? In this immersive live demonstration, we explore the world of Chanoyu (the Way of Tea) as a profound discipline of the soul.
✨ At the heart of the ceremony lies the concept of Adab—the refined etiquette and spiritual manners that govern every movement. Dr. Naoki Yamamoto will illustrate how aesthetics, bodily discipline, and mindfulness function as a unified spiritual practice, drawing striking parallels between the Japanese path of refinement and the Islamic tradition of inner and outer excellence.
⛩️ Participants will witness how the precise choreography of the tea room fosters a state of presence. This session offers a rare opportunity to observe how tradition is embodied through practice, turning a physical ritual into a vehicle for moral and spiritual imagination.
🍵 The demonstration will provide deep insights into the tools, the architecture of the tea space, and the silent language of hospitality. Whether you are interested in Zen aesthetics, Islamic ethics, or the art of mindfulness, this three-hour experience offers a transformative look at how tradition bridges the gap between the mundane and the divine.
